Supporting local communities
When we endeavoured to create a skincare brand in the midst of the 2020 global pandemic, the core of our idea was aways to use our business as an instrument to help uplift our neighbouring communities and contribute to a greener planet.
We pledge to donate 10% of our profits to Singapore-based charities and organisations, as well as volunteer for our selected beneficiaries. As we grow we plan for our involvement to become more substantial and far reaching.
We know our small contributions won't "save the world" but we make it our responsibility to take action and help with something achievable, of straightforward and measurable impact so we can work towards building a stronger, more empowered community.
Currently our selected charity is Food from the Heart, a non-profit organisation that feeds the needy through its food distribution programme. It was established in February 2003 after Singapore-based Austrian couple Henry and Christine Laimer read a report in The Sunday Times about bakeries discarding their unsold bread. Stirred, they then decided to channel surplus food from bakeries to those in need. Food from the Heart started with 120 volunteers in 2003. As at the end of 2019, our volunteers multiplied to over 10,000, and together we reached 44,600 beneficiaries across Singapore.
